Call for Artists at The Art of Planetary Sciences

The Art of Planetary Sciences

Pasadena, CA

Celebrate the beauty and elegance of our universe by submitting science-themed artwork to The Art of Planetary Science special exhibition at the 2016 Division for Planetary Sciences Meeting from October 17-21 in Pasadena, CA. This scientific conference is a joint meeting between the American Astronomical Society's Division for Planetary Science (DPS) and the European Planetary Science Congress (EPSC), and will be attended by hundreds (likely >1000) of planetary scientists and astronomers from all over the world! This exhibition will serve as a space for scientists to reflect on the beauty of our universe, and our role in discovery and exploration. It will also be open during a public event hosted by the conference.

This exhibition is a satellite event of The Art of Planetary Science, an annual art show hosted by the University of Arizona's Lunar and Planetary Laboratory. Information about our mission and photos from last year’s show can be found at the website below.

Take this opportunity to engage a unique and international audience with your work. All types and levels of artists and scientists are encouraged to submit! Participation is free.

A full prospectus and an online submission form can be found at (click TAPS@DPS):https://www.lpl.arizona.edu/art. Inquiries can be directed to art@lpl.arizona.edu.

Deadline for submissions is August 12.
