Call for Art
Night Dive: October 2, 2015
Secrets

On Friday, October 2, the Aquarium of the Pacific will hold our 3rd and final Night Dive of 2015.
This event features local artists, bands, djs, and guest speakers. Night Dive is an adult only event and
opens its doors to guests between the hours of 7 and 11PM. Attendees have the rare opportunity to
enjoy the Aquarium after regular visiting hours, and the experience is enhanced with an art exhibition,
live music, and bars throughout the venue. The theme for this Night Dive is ‘secrets’. This enticing
theme can be taken in many fun directions and mischievous ways! For instance, many details are
being kept quiet until the night of the event! The art portion of the event is really important to the
whole “Night Dive experience,” because as guests wander throughout the galleries, they never know
what art they will see next. This is a wonderful opportunity for artists to converse with guests, and
many artists say these conversations are their favorite part of the event!

We are looking for artists and artwork that will help create a perception of the untold, the unknown,
and the unseen. Artists may submit a total of six (6) works of art.
● Artwork may be of any medium (installations, performance art, and mixed media art is encouraged!)
● Artwork should be inspired by and evoke characteristics of the untold, the unknown, the unseen, mystery, and wonder
● Artists may propose interactive activities: live demos, live painting
