Finance and Administration Associate

Diavolo | Architecture in Motion (“Diavolo”) seeks a Finance and Administration Associate. Part-time, between 15-25 hours per week.

About Diavolo: Founded by Artistic Director Jacques Heim, Diavolo performs a distinct style of Architecture in Motion. The company has an extensive performance history worldwide, including in Los Angeles at venues such as the Broad Stage, the Greek Theater, and the Hollywood Bowl. The Diavolo Institute offers dance education and outreach programs that reach thousands of community members each year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

FINANCE: bookkeeping, payroll administration, processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable, credit card processing, reconciling bank statements 

ADMINISTRATION: coordinating rentals for the Diavolo studio space; coordinating office communication including phone calls, postal mail, faxes, etc; coordinating facilities maintenance for the Diavolo studio space and office space; communication with insurance companies; maintaining company files and records.

Qualifications: Knowledge of Quickbooks. 1-3 years of experience with bookkeeping / accounting. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Apps. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on staff requests. Interest in the arts and an affinity with dance are a plus.

The work schedule is determined in advance for 15-25 hour per week. Applicants available weekdays from 1 pm – 5 pm will be considered first. Work location is the Brewery Arts Complex, just northeast of downtown Los Angeles. Pay is $15-$20 per hour range, based on education and experience.

This position will report to Chief Operating Officer Matt Wells and has growth potential.
