The Pasadena Cultural Affairs Division will hold a Community Meeting to discuss the proposed Public Art Master Plan draft on:
Saturday, March 3 at 10:00 am
Jackie Robinson Community Center
1020 N. Fair Oaks Avenue, Pasadena, CA, 91103 (Parking is available onsite)
To express the importance of community engagement and this plan, the Pasadena Cultural Affairs Division has released the following statement: “In response to Cultural Nexus’ call for a “new vision for public art,” the Pasadena Cultural Affairs Division convened a Public Art Task Force and worked with the Commission to expand the focus to include a citywide Public Art Plan, currently in development. The Public Art Master Plan is intended to prioritize public art project development and placement city wide. By instituting broad goals and objectives, the plan will unify current public art program guidelines and identify funding sources for implementation. An Advisory Group will vet input gathered via public community meetings and stakeholder interviews. A Plan will be presented to Council in 2012. We hope that you will be able to join us to review the Plan recommendations and to provide your feedback! You are an important component of Pasadena’s new vision for public art.”
This statement can be found on the City of Pasadena's webpage, half way down the page, through this Link. If you cannot make this meeting, additional community meetings will be schedule in April. To learn more about the Public Art Program in Pasadena, click on this Link.
