Greenway Arts Alliance, a nonprofit arts and educational organization is seeking a full-time Producing Director for its professional theatre, the Greenway Court Theatre.

Greenway Court Theatre is operated by Greenway Arts Alliance, a community-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to unite communities through art, education and enterprise.

Greenway Court Theatre has a rich history of presenting and producing diverse bodies of work under the Equity 99-Seat Plan. Greenway has opened its door to many main-stage productions, weekly open mic poetry, festivals and world premieres.  Greenway also hosts student productions, internships and workshops through the Greenway Institute for the Arts.

Position will report to the two Co-Founders/Artistic Directors of the organization.
Minimum of 5 years of theatre management experience required.
 
Duties include:

To lead and manage efficiently and effectively all aspects of all productions performances, workshops and presentations at Greenway Court Theatre.

 ·       Co-Manage production staff along with Technical Director
·       Support co-production partners and ensure that the production elements of co-productions are managed successfully
·       Work with all departments to ensure that projects are supported appropriately
·       Maintain clear and accurate box office records, audience info/surveys, and artist contracts
 
Produce 4 in-house productions and annual Poetry Festival, Inkslam
·       Ensure the shows are delivered to the highest possible standards, on time and work within the contract and guidelines set forth for each show
·       Negotiate and manage third party services including, but not limited to, contractors and artists, freelancers and other service providers ensuring the highest artistic standards are achieved.
·       Generate all artists, union and designer contracts
·       Manage Greenway Production budgets with the Artistic Directors and manage them in line with company regulations and procedures, and ensure that costs are controlled and goals are achieved
·       Produce Greenway’s annual poetry festival InkSlam
·       Continue to seek diverse programming
 
Execute selected Arts Education Programs and Development
 
·       Work with the Director of Student Programs to hire students for Greenway’s Internship program
·       Work with Co-Founders on the department’s Fundraising Plan
 
 In General
·       Ensure Greenway Court Theatre is maintained
·       Assist in any IT issues and graphics
·       Maintain and manage accurate records
·       Promote and communicate Greenway’s mission, especially with regard to diversity, education and community both internally and externally.
·       Ensure social media is current
·       Actively seek out and manage co-production opportunities for the theatre
·       Ensure good lines of communication and working relationships with all departments
·       To operate in accordance with Greenway’s employment, health and safety, equal opportunities and other practices policies and procedures
·       Ensure effective financial management including the consistent following of financial procedures and providing budgetary information when required
·       Attend bi-weekly Greenway staff meetings and weekly meeting with Co-Founders/Co-Artistic Directors
·       Any other duties as may reasonably be required

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Undergraduate degree required

Minimum 5 years of theatre management and producing theatre
Experience in community based organizations will be given priority
A non-profit background is a benefit to the applicant but not required
Adept at working in a complex organizational environment; solid people-skills, leadership and management techniques

Effective oral and written communication skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Keen sense of utilizing social media and audience development; grasp of WordPress and Patron Manager a plus

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

Starting salary $45,000 with room for growth.  Medical insurance, two weeks’ paid vacation + holidays.
