Graphics + Social Media Assistant
Semi-annual vintage retail trade show A Current Affair is seeking an intelligent, well-organized, self-motivated, enthusiastic and accountable professional to serve as an Graphics + Social Media Assistant.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent real world a strong creativity, proficient Photoshop skills, strong written and verbal skills, the ability to work well independently as well as interact well with a team. Candidate must be extremely organized and detail oriented.
Graphics : In addition to social media management duties, the ideal candidate should also be fluent in Adobe Photoshop + Illustrator with a creative mind and the ability to create all event collateral such as event flyers, one sheet graphics, social media imagery, etc. Email campaigns are graphic heavy. We have 10 events a year to create content for. The candidate will adhere to brand style and quality standards already set but understand and provide insight into evolving art + design trends relevant to the brands.
Social Media : Candidate will oversee current and future social media projects for A Current Affair, duties include but are not limited to: research, campaign & content creation, execution, monitoring and reporting. Technical knowledge and proficiency in social media platforms (ie. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc) is required.
The ideal candidate will also be able to take on the responsibilities that include engaging and growing numbers for our clients on all social media platforms as well as manage and keep track of subscriptions (ie. Hootsuite, Mail Chimp, etc). The candidate will need to research and execute methods for expanding and improving social media presence. You will work closely with the team to plan and execute projects and campaign timelines and need to provide insight into analytics/performance and periodic recommendations for improvement in daily meetings.
Customer Outreach: The ideal candidate will also be in charge of creating, scheduling and executing customer outreach via Mail Chimp. Duties include designing and launching email blasts on a standard event schedule, encourage signup at shows and input new emails after events.
General Office Duties: We are a small team and need someone willing to take on additional responsibilities if necessary - flexibility and attention to detail are key to being a part of our fast paced, hardworking team. The candidate must also be able to tackle general office duties, such as ordering office supplies when needed, tidy up the studio as needed, duties included in event preparation (i.e. prep vendor packets, pickup FedEx orders, etc).
Typical Hours: Monday through Friday, from 10:00 to 6:00pm. Part-time schedule can be discussed during the hiring process.
A Current Affair shows require attendance on the weekends several times per year and may require travel to NY twice per year. Casual attire.
Salary: Compensation is commensurate with experience and availability. Most likely will start hourly. Location: Downtown Los Angeles
