Our Board Chair Terence McFarland of LA STAGE Alliance will facilitate a discussion called “Creating an Engaged Community through Advocacy” during the Emerging Leaders Pre-Conference, speaking directly to new professionals in the field of arts administration.

Abe Flores and Charlie Jensen will co-facilitate a “peer networking session” with members who work in arts education nationally. Charlie will also lead small-group roundtables on “The Art of Negotiation” (co-facilitated with former Arts for LA staff member Camille Schenkkan) and “How to Convince Anyone to Support the Arts.”

Americans for the Arts is a leading national arts advocacy and professional development organization known for coordinating among its many initiatives the Arts Index and Economic Development reports, National Arts Advocacy Day at the U.S. Capitol, and the National Arts Marketing Program conference, among many other important programs.
