The vote comes after several months of exploring alternate options for funding the summer program, which provides Los Angeles college students with ten weeks of paid employment and arts management training.  Arts Commission Executive Director Laura Zucker noted at today's meeting that the 2010 program will provide 75 internships and will be subsidized with matching grants from larger cultural institutions.

Information about organizational eligibility requirements, application, instructions and guidelines will be posted at lacountyarts.org/internship.html.
