CalNonprofits Extends Convention Discount to Arts for LA Members
Arts for LA members can attend the September 13 CalNonprofit Convention 2012 for the member rate of $50.
The convention, the first in four years, brings together prominent leaders from throughout the nonprofit sector to examine the current wave of issues affecting California’s nonprofit sector. This year’s meeting will feature sessions on foundation executives, health care reform, ballot propositions, voter engagement, the state budget, and relationships between nonprofits and foundation funders.
Sessions begin at 8:55 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, and run throughout morning and afternoon. A closing reception will be held at 3:30 p.m. to round out the day and give attendees an opportunity to network with presenters and colleagues from around the state.
Presenters will include representatives from Arts for LA, California Participation Project, Vote with Your Mission, the James Irvine Foundation, Durfee Foundation, California African American Museum, Southern California Grantmakers, Latino Business Chamber of Greater Los Angeles, and many other California organizations.
Attendance is limited to three hundred participants, so anyone wanting to take advantage of the discount must register soon.
