Fri, 07/08/2011 (All day)

NextGen Arts from Center for Cultural InnovationThe Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI), in partnership with The James Irvine Foundation and The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, is pleased to announce the next round of the NextGen Arts Initiative, which provides emerging arts administrators in California access to funding resources for professional development through CCI’s Creative Capacity Fund’s NextGen Professional Development Program. Under this program, emerging arts leaders currently working for a California nonprofit arts organization may be eligible to apply for up to $1,000 in grant subsidies to take workshops, attend conferences or work with career coaches or management consultants.

Arts administrators, artists and board members between the ages of 18 and 35 are encouraged to take the NextGen Survey, which is providing valuable data to arts funders and program providers about the needs of California’s emerging arts leaders. Taking the NextGen Survey also fulfills one of the eligibility requirements for a NextGen Professional Development Grant. Surveys must be completed at least one month prior to the rolling application deadline, which occurs on the 15th of each month. [Note: Individuals who have previously taken the survey DO NOT need to take it again to apply for grants in 2011-2012].
