Our private practice paper conservation studio is seeking an experienced Paper Conservator to join our team. The applicant should hold a degree from a recognized conservation training program. A degree or certificate in conservation with a specialization in paper and a broader understanding of the treatment of a wide range of materials is preferred. The applicant should have at least one year of practical work experience in a studio or lab setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily responsibilities include:
- Writing condition reports and treatment proposals for conservation treatment.
- Undertake conservation projects in accordance with the American Institute for Conservation's Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice.
- Ensure accurate written and photographic documentation for conservation examinations and treatments.
- Participate in presentations, conferences, and workshops.
