For 25 years, Ryman Arts has provided professional fine arts classes along with college and career planning to talented youth in Southern California, at no charge to the students. Almost all graduates go on to college, many pursue careers in the creative industries, and all are equipped for personal success. Ryman Arts now serves 600 students each year.
We are now accepting applications for the Spring 2016 semester of Ryman Arts. All students who will be in high school in the fall (current 8th - 11th graders) are eligible to apply. Applying to Ryman Arts will give students a chance to bring their drawing and painting skills up to the most advanced level. It will also provide them with college and career preparation for the arts, and make them eligible for exclusive opportunities such as behind the scenes tours, scholarships and internships.
Ryman Arts is a studio art program for talented high school students, offered on Saturdays on the campus of California State University, Fullerton and on Sundays on the campus of Otis College of Art and Design. Students attend classes for 3 ½ hours each week either for the morning (9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.) or afternoon (1:00 - 4:30 p.m.) session for a 12-week semester.
Classes are entirely free of charge and all art supplies are included. Any high school student is eligible to apply. Application process is competitive; please help your students to submit a strong application. The application includes:
