The Los Angeles City Council has begun the public review of the Mayor’s proposed 2011-12 budget. On Tuesday, April 26th, the Arts, Parks, Health & Aging Committee discussed the Department of Cultural Affairs’ (DCA) current budget and the Mayor’s proposed budget relative to the department.

Los Angeles City HallMayor Villaraigosa has released his 2011-2012 Budget Recommendations for the City of LA, including proposed allocations to the Department of Cultural Affairs.  The proposal includes reductions to the Department of Cultural Affairs budget that are similar to proposed reductions to nearly every other department in the City.
