Position Summary:
The Account Manager/Dispatcher is an integral position that works with a variety of stakeholders, from clients, to employees. Great people skills and strong relationship building is necessary. The Account Manager/Dispatcher is the primary contact person in our office from which all projects are built and scheduled. The current essential functions for this position are to positively foster client relations by managing the primary email account, creating job estimates for clients, scheduling jobs, dispatching vehicles per that schedule and managing the bookings over time. This position must also coordinate with our warehouse and crate shop managers to ensure the smooth completion of booked jobs. Our client list includes those with high demands so great project and time management skills, as well as a patient and professional demeanor, are a must.
Position works Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
Job Responsibilities:
Act as primary point of contact for clients/third parties/conservators/vendors regarding job inquiries and bookings, estimate proposals, and job scheduling.
Providing estimates to potential clients
Managing booked projects both short and long term
Manage scheduled jobs, pending jobs and schedule changes so that drivers arrive at their pick-up points on time.
Work with crate shop manager to schedule crate builds and deadlines into crate shop queue.
Work with warehouse manager to schedule receives, releases, and in-house labor.
Communicate with supervisors regarding project, fleet, and driver management
Handle clients in a calm, effective and professional manner.
Learn common destinations in the geographic area served by the company and become familiar with routes and traffic patterns.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
Art shipping and logistics cost estimation for clients
Truck/vehicle scheduling and dispatching
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Exhibits good judgment
Careful attention to detail
Strong time-management skills and awareness of critical deadlines
Ability to manage multi-task projects under deadline pressure
Basic mathematical reasoning skills
Proficiency in Google docs, Quickbooks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other typical office software programs preferred
