Seeking Objects for Exhibit from Artists, Collectors and Institutions
2020 – ADAM AND EVE – THE GARDEN AND BEYOND
There are many beautiful and compelling images which tell the story of Adam and Eve. We are looking for depictions of the full story of Adam and Eve, from their creation to the forbidden fruit incident to their life beyond the Garden of Eden. Interpretations of various aspects of their story range from sensual, to graphic, to farcical. The exhibit is planned for the main gallery of the Bible Museum. We already have access to works created by artists including Salvador Dalí, Marc Chagall, Rudolph Bostic, and R. Crumb; as well as Illustrated Bibles from the 18th to 21st centuries, from the Biedenharn Collection.
Exhibit Dates: Opens Thursday, March 12, 2020 – Closes Saturday, January 9, 2021
Artists, Collectors and Institutions must be willing to loan the selected work from January 2020 – January 2021
Artists, Collectors and Institutions may submit up to five works for consideration. Museum staff and selection committee members will evaluate submissions and select works. The Executive Director will approve all decisions.
