Dates of Employment: March 5, or March 12- June 28, 2019

Salary: $12/hr

Hours: Temporary Part-Time Position, 20-24 hours/wk

Schedule: 6-8 hours per day, 3 times a week (7 hours, 1 for lunch) hours to be completed between core hours of 9:00 am-6:00 pm.

Summer Camp Dates: Attendance is required at our overnight Alumni Summer Camp in Lake Arrowhead from June 10-June 14, 2019. Meals and accommodations will be provided.

 

The mission of The Pablove Foundation is to improve the lives of children living with cancer through the arts and invest in underfunded, cutting-edge pediatric cancer research. We’re revolutionizing the way people view kids living with cancer by addressing the needs of the community through art and science. Pablove HQ is located in a charming, historic 1920’s Spanish revival building in the heart of Hollywood. Our space is home to a team of dedicated, creative professionals who are working to change the world.

 

We are looking for a Pablove Shutterbugs Coordinator, to join our hard working, mission-driven team in our Shutterbugs Department. Pablove’s crew, culture, and environment are the heartbeat of our organization. Our staff is committed to quality, love-filled programming. The Shutterbugs Team is directed by Pablove’s strategic plan, culture of philanthropy, and vision: helping kids with cancer live – a love-filled life today, and a cancer-free life tomorrow. We are looking for a detail-oriented, flexible, and smart addition to the department who will ensure Pablove’s overall effectiveness by providing killer support for the organization’s big picture goals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Shutterbugs Program Director. This is a temporary part-time non-exempt paid position that starts on March 5th and ends on June 28th, 2019. They will have the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Assist in logistics, planning activities, and execution of the 2019 Pablove Shutterbugs Alumni Summer Camp in Lake Arrowhead, CA from June 10th- June 14th.

  • Observe and assist with overall program logistics related to Summer Camp including team meetings, on-site convenings, etc.

  • Represent Pablove Shutterbugs by leading correspondence to Pablove Shutterbugs families through print and e-mail

  • Meet with community stakeholders and camp volunteers

  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.

  • Assist with student Gallery Shows and assist team in framing, shipping, and creating labels, signs, and didactics

  • Assist with classes, gallery shows, installation of gallery shows and community events

  • Help devise and deploy volunteer appreciation initiatives for Pablove Shutterbugs volunteers

  • Contribute to team meetings and help shape current and future Pablove Shutterbugs initiatives particularly in relation to our Alumni Summer Camp

  • Complete inventory and end of summer reports by specified dates

  • Breakdown, pack up and clean all equipment and area at the end of the our Alumni Summer Camp as per the closing instruction

  • Other duties as necessary

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current college students or recent graduates (undergraduate or graduate level) are invited to apply.

  • A background or interest in the arts or arts education

  • A passion for photography

  • Prior experience (volunteer or paid) with children or teens

  • Friendly, well-spoken

  • Good writing skills

  • Must be able to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week, 3 times per week

  • Must be able to attend entire program including Pablove Shutterbugs Summer Camp- June 10th-June 14th, 2019
