The Archivist/Media & Image Editor is responsible for a variety of key roles at fast-paced contemporary artist's studio. As the studio's archivist, they control, oversee and maintain all facets of the studio's archive both analog and digital. As Media & Image Editor, they work closely alongside the artist helping to creatively build, photograph, retouch, edit and assemble imagery for new artworks. This role also oversees the studio’s web and social media presence. The tasks are wide-ranging and take place working alongside a friendly and dynamic studio team of collaborators.

Archivist/Media &Image Editor tasks include but are not limited to:

-Managing and updating internal database and build and maintaining archive of artwork files
-Editing and retouching images of artworks
-Photographing artworks
-Archiving physical and digital exhibition ephemera
-Preparing image packets to be shared with artist’s galleries/press
-Responding to press image requests
-Helping build large-scale composite photo files for printing
-Handling Phase-One camera and Capture-One image imports
-Managing the Artist’s Instagram and Studio Website
-Work closely with the artist on long-term catalogue raisonné project
-Overseeing Linear Tape Open Hardware and data backups
-General Studio tasks

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Gallery, museum or studio experience is a plus.

Photography experience and familiarity with the Adobe Suite (especially Photoshop, Bridge, and InDesign) is ideal. Candidate should be versatile and be able to learn quickly on the job, managing multiple tasks at once.
