Isolation Two | Digital Residency

A continuation of our Initial digital residency ‘Isolation’ we have decided to create a second run of the project, to allow more artists to share their work and help tell their stories of what life in isolation as an artist is really like! Isolation is a chance for artists to create and have artwork displayed through the murze platform, hopefully keeping us all busy, responsive and somewhat sane during this uncertain time.

From the 4th - 10th May Murze will be holding the second run of artist lead project, each day artists will have the ability to share their stories, ideas and artworks through our website, a dedicated Instagram account and our other social media platforms. You will be asked to share daily updates throughout the seven day period, either creating one final piece or a new piece of artwork each day. For those that wish, we will have a set of prompts for artists to focus their work on - you will receive further details nearer the time. All artists will be featured on the Murze platform throughout the residency. You can access work from the initial run on murze.org/isolation

Human Experience

This artist's call is seeking to explore artwork looking at the experiences we share on our planet! our travel, our day to day, events, our rituals and habits. We want to build a picture of the daily and the perhaps mundane of modern day life. (Not to be all doom and gloom but we will be receiving work focused on the current coronavirus pandemic, some artwork and comment on this issue is of course welcome! keep safe)

This artist's call is open to film, photography, painting, collage, drawing, sculpture and creative writing. To enter please send in a portfolio of up to six pieces and tell us a little about the pieces you are sending in, if you are responding to current experiences and events I.E; coronavirus feel free to explain your current experiences with the virus, lockdown, self isolation etc.
