RLA Conservation of Art + Architecture, Inc.
RLA Conservation of Art + Architecture seeks to hire a dynamic, collaborative and enthusiastic arts professional to work as part of our Los Angeles-based studio. This position can be either part time or full time. The position reports to the Operations Director and Chief Conservator but works collaboratively with a range of conservators and office personnel to achieve the goals of managing our practice. The ideal candidate will know Los Angeles and the art world well, and be well-versed in contemporary artists and museums. The job requirements are as follows:
IN-STUDIO
- Receiving Objects - client and art handler management, photos, signage, forms
- Maintain inventory for uniforms
- Maintain holiday gift list names/addresses
MARKETING:
- Assist with social media postings
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Go to vendors and pick up materials and deliver to site or elsewhere
- Answering phones - taking appropriate messages and passing them along correctly
- Assist with drafting proposals and getting travel, materials, equipment costs
- Photography - get photos from techs and Conservators. File and organize properly.
- Project assistance - some work as Technician on maintenance treatments
- Manage project tracker and keep up to date
- Help create weekly schedule & keep calendar up to date
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Assist conservators in pest control and anoxic treatments
- Some personal assistant things for the chief conservators
- Fit test staff for respirators
INVENTORY & BUILDING MANAGEMENT
- Manage building leaks and other real-estate related issues
- Laundry – weekly or as needed
- A/C filters changing
