Description
MUSE/IQUE, a nonprofit counter-conventional music organization based in Pasadena, is seeking an Artistic Programs Associate to assist the Artistic Director and Artistic Programs Manager, providing personal, administrative, research and creative support. Must be a team-player, self-starter with a positive attitude and love for live music and the performing arts.
Responsibilities
Administrative & Personal Assistance for Artistic Director
- Managing email correspondence
- Scheduling and managing appointments and calendar
- Making reservations (dining and travel as needed)
- Purchasing, organizing and sending thank you gifts and notes
- Providing general personal assistance to the Artistic Director
- Providing transportation as required
- Running errands (dry cleaning, groceries, postage, etc.)
- Performance day duties typically include providing transportation, hospitality needs and day of show errands
Artistic Planning & Coordination
Under the direction of and in collaboration with the Artistic Programs Manager
- Research music, composers, repertoire and music history and compile reports
- Maintain files & artistic records for MUSE/IQUE performances
- Assist the Artistic Programs Manager with creative planning and concept proposals
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Valid California Driver’s License, good driving record
Must have a reliable car
Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in music, performing arts, communications or related field)
Live, performing arts experience
Able to thrive in high stress environment
Flexible schedule to work occasional weekends and evenings
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
Extremely organized
