This year at the Arts Datathon, we're going to democratize.

This FREE event is an opportunity for you to spend a day using data to:

  • Explore questions of equity in arts education in public schools
  • Build public data about art in LA County
  • Discover new perspectives on the California/Mexico border through a qualitative data arts project
  • Visualize geographic data through craft.

Arts Datathon: Democratize will bring together arts administrators, artists, educators, data scientists, students community advocates, researchers, civic hackers and others to explore how data can improve access to the arts. Complete details available at

Arts Datathon: Democratize is brought to you by the LA County Arts Commission, City of LA Department of Cultural Affairs, LACMA, USC Libraries and Hack for LA with generous support from the LA County Arts Education Collective, LA County Board of Supervisors District 1, LA Counts, Los Angeles Public Library, LA County Library, Ford Theatres, and Arts for LA.
