NOTE: This year's Arts Datathon will feature four different tracks that will run concurrently. Datathon tracks will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Information about your track and any final instructions will be sent the week before the event.
- Data Science for Arts Education: Data scientists, arts administrators and educators will explore research questions and potential methods to advocate for equity in arts education in LA County public schools. [TRACK CLOSED; AT CAPACITY]
- Public Art on Wikidata: Participants will learn about linked open data – what it is and how it works – and will contribute information about public art in LA County to Wikidata.
- Border Data: Participants will explore experiences of the California/Mexico border through qualitative data collected from people as they cross.
- Visualizing Data Through Craft: Participants will embroider geodata about their favorite arts and culture locations in LA County on fabric printed with a map
