Inner-City Arts’ development team seeks an innovative professional who will exemplify a commitment to excellence inspired by our mission. The Associate Director of Communications will play a key role in the efforts, from planning to execution, to develop the Institution’s public-facing media, materials, marketing and outreach with an emphasis on supporting both programming and fundraising goals.

As the primary steward of the organization’s brand, the Associate Director of Communications will ensure outreach is of the highest caliber – as inspired, persuasive, creative and engaging as the work we encourage from our students. This individual will possess extraordinary writing and storytelling skills, a keen eye for design, a thorough understanding of marketing trends, as well as exemplary technological and social media savvy to ensure the maximum impact for communication across all channels.

Reporting to the CEO, the Associate Director of Communications will field both the programming and development team needs, setting strategy and executing messages and materials that solicit, engage, and acknowledge donors as well as promote Inner-City Arts programming offerings to our students, schools, families and the larger community. Responsibilities also include facilitating the development of public-facing institutional and program materials, as well as serving on the teams that support cause-related marketing, third-party sponsorships and institution-wide PR efforts.
