Associate Producer and Grants Manager

The LA-based documentary Jimmy in Saigon seeks a part-time Associate Producer to help with grant management as well as some areas of production, organization, outreach and editorial tasks. This person should be organized and able to work independently between weekly check-ins with director Peter McDowell.

Primary responsibilities include maintaining and project managing grant applications as laid out on our work management platform. Additional tasks could include coordinating shoots, watching and transcribing interview footage, maintaining a donor database, composing email updates, organizing archival footage, journalistic and historic research, grant writing, and finding partner organizations.

Director Peter McDowell is an arts administrator with 25 years of experience in the field and also the director of two short Super-8 films featured in San Francisco’s Frameline festival. Approximately 20 hours per month at $20/hr.
