LGBT Center
Los Angeles, CA
The Los Angeles LGBT Center is looking for queer/queer-friendly POC artists for a Black History Month exhibit that will run from January 17th through mid-March. This exhibit aims to highlight the beauty of black excellence; positive portrayals of the strength, courage, and perseverance of our people.
This exhibit will work in conjunction with our Future is Black event, a community gathering that pulls together local POC-driven organizations and merchants to present resources and information to the community at large. Chosen artists will be given tables for networking opportunity, as well as to sell any prints/merchandise.
Submissions must include an artist's statement, as well as samples of artwork. A website link is preferred, but photo attachments to the email will be accepted as well.
Submissions may be sent to artprograms@lalgbtcenter.org.
Chosen artists will be contacted directly by curator.
