Call for Artists: Performers, Musicians +

City of Santa Clarita Arts and Events

Santa Clarita, CA

The City of Santa Clarita’s new ‘Celebrate’ series, which takes place on the first Friday of each month starting in April and ending in September. ‘Celebrate’ is an event series that celebrates cultures, customs and culinary wonders from around the world. Held on the first Friday of the month, April to September, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., a different culture will be celebrated each month at the brand new Canyon Country Community Center. We will have a stage featuring music and dance. The other areas of the event will showcase local food, art and educational experiences that will encourage attendees to explore other cultures from around the world.

The City is looking for artists to exhibit artwork at our C4 Gallery for each month of the event series for the planned culture (see timeline below). We are seeking artwork that reflects and represents the following cultures: Polynesia, India, Greece, Caribbean and Mexico cultures. We are also seeking artisans, crafters, dancers, and any live performances that coincide with the cultures above. Mailed artwork will NOT be accepted. Artwork must be physically dropped off on the agreed upon date. This call is open to LA County, surrounding areas, and those willing to drop off.

Artwork exceeding 25 pounds in weight will not be accepted.
