Call for Entries for the Los Angeles Center of Photography's 5th Annual 
Street Shooting Around the World Exhibition

Deadline for Submission: Monday, December 10, 2018
Notice of Acceptance: Thursday, December 27, 2018
Framed prints (if accepted) due in gallery: Thursday, January 31, 2019
Show Opening: Friday, February 8, 7-10 pm, 2019
Show Dates: February 8 – March 8, 2019

Prize
1st prize will receive $1,000 in cash, plus an invitation to show work 
during the STREET WEEK in LA presentations (February 4-7, 2019).
Honorable mentions will be recognized as well.
(NOTE: To be eligible for the 1st prize, you MUST submit at least SIX 
IMAGES.)

About the Exhibit
We are pleased to announce our 5th Annual Street Shooting Around the 
World Exhibition! The exhibit will run from February 8 – March 8, 2019, 
with opening night reception scheduled for Friday, February 8, 7-10 pm, 
2019. The theme is street shooting around the world. The juror, Nick 
Turpin, will select between 40-50 images based on creativity, 
originality, and quality. In addition, another 50-60 images will be 
chosen for a virtual gallery display via LACP’s website. There is no 
limit to the amount of images which can be submitted.

The Juror
Nick Turpin was born in London, UK in 1969, Studied ‘Art and Design’ at 
the University of Gloucestershire then ‘Photography, Film and Video’ at 
the University of Westminster until 1990 when he left to work as a staff 
photographer with The Independent Newspaper leaving in 1997 to pursue a 
second career in Advertising and Design photography. In 2000 Nick was 
the founder of the international street photographers group in-public 
and in 2010 he established Nick Turpin Publishing. Nick has also taught 
and lectured on contemporary street photography at Museums, Universities 
and on TV.
