OPEN CALL TO COLLEGE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
The Seraphim Project welcomes artist submissions for February 17 exhibition.
About The Seraphim Project
Our mission is to support the healing process of sexual abuse survivors by acting as a fundraising agency and artistic platform. The purpose of our fundraising is to offer healing retreats & workshops to abuse survivors. As a platform for the arts, we seek to shed light on an issue that is often kept in the dark.
Art Theme: “Hope, Healing and Love”
Guidelines
This contest is open to all students in high school and college.
All entries must be submitted by January 31st. Students may enter multiple pieces (Max. of 6). Voting will take place February 2nd by the professional jury. Notifications will be sent to the winners immediately following. In addition, a “People’s Choice Award” will be awarded to the most popular art pieces in each category on February 17th, 2018 at the Freeways Art Exhibition in Murrieta, CA. The event is a fundraiser to assist survivors of sexual abuse in attending healing workshops and retreats
Submission Guidelines
Please include the following materials with your submission: • Artist statement • Completed Entry Form must also be affixed to the back of each piece of artwork which includes the title, date, medium and dimensions for each piece. • Please do not fold artwork or use paperclips • Pieces may not be framed • Photos must be mounted on mat board with 2" borders (white, black, or grey mat board only)
Artwork must be student’s original work and must have been completed within 12 months of the submission date. Artwork may not exceed 11 x 17 inches in size.

- Photography * High quality ink jet prints and minimum size 5” x 7

AWARDS The awards are as follows:
1st place: $50 Gift Card
2nd place: $20 Gift Card
3rd place: $10 Gift Card
People’s choice award: $240 Scholarship
All entries must be submitted to campus facilitator by January 31st. The Seraphim Project will contact each campus facilitator directly to collect art submissions.
