Call for Submissions: Research in Brief Series

The Education Trust-West

Online

As an equity-centered research and advocacy organization, we understand the importance of providing actionable and accessible research and data to advance equity and address systemic racism in state and local policy. We all have unique and important roles to play in the movement toward educational equity, and research is a vital aspect of understanding the experiences of California’s communities – especially communities of color and low-income communities who have historically been marginalized by oppressive systems.

Researchers, academics and scholar-practioners – we are looking to partner with you on a Research in Brief series that covers P-16 education equity issues and perspectives in California. Your work will help inform policymakers, a statewide network of education advocates and will lay the groundwork for much needed policy change.

Now more than ever, there is a dire need to uplift evidence-based research that connects to policy or practice, and provide advocates and decisionmakers with clear, actionable recommendations and next steps to address key education equity issues, including COVID-19 response and recovery.
