More about Multiple Feeds and Film and Video 825:
The Multiple Feeds film and video project at Gallery 825 runs
January 16 - February 19, 2016.
It is important to describe LAAA's demonstrated commitment to quality video programming through our ongoing series of screenings of locally, nationally and internationally-recognized film and video artists' work. Our aim is to provide a forum for experimental film and video in Los Angeles. In a city dominated by Hollywood, programs such as ours become a necessity for artists working in time-based media that falls outside the mainstream of narrative cinema. Our curatorial vision is open to video installation, shorts and features in experimental, performance, animation and documentary forms.
Since its inception as a key part of LAAA's programming in 2001, LAAA's video programming has developed into one of the most exciting forums for experimental video and time based media on the West Coast. Multiple Feeds will support exhibitions by often neglected video and new media artists, and will directly respond to LAAA's strategic goals of creating greater access and equity for emerging L.A. artists. LAAA routinely encourages artists to experiment, so this effort with online and physical audience engagement aligns perfectly with our practice and mission.
The Multiple Feeds film and video project at Gallery 825 runs
January 16 - February 19, 2016.
