The Beverly Hills artSHOW is Seeking Artists
The Beverly Hills artSHOW is recruiting fine artists to exhibit in the May 21st & 22nd show, and the deadline is February 15th! (There is a late deadline of February 22nd, but the cost to apply goes up…)
Held in the center of Beverly Hills along four historic garden blocks, it attracts 40,000 art lovers from the west side of Los Angeles and adjacent areas, along with regional art dealers, guests from all the area hotels, and even out-of-state patrons who come specifically for this event. The atmosphere is collegial, casual, friendly and fun; yet the outdoor show caters to serious art shoppers, via an extensive advertising campaign. It is consistently highly rated by the major national publications that review outdoor art events across the country.
The 2016 artSHOW media partners also spread the word to our art-loving public. This year they include the Los Angeles Art Association, Fabrik Magazine, the LA Weekly, LA Art Party, Yelp, and the Beverly Hills Conference and Visitor’s Bureau.
Artists who work in all genres and many media are welcome to apply. Nearly 250 artists will be accepted. For this show, staff is also seeking artists who focus on male and female portraiture for a special feature, Men and Women: Gender in Art. (As always, artists working in all media are welcome to apply.) All artwork must be original of course! The deadline to apply is
February 15th, and the late and final deadline is February 22nd. Visit www.beverlyhills.org/artshowinfo for general information and www.beverlyhills.org/artshowapp to apply to the show as an artist.
The spring event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 21st and 22nd, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Beverly Gardens Park on Santa Monica Boulevard, from Rodeo Drive to Rexford Drive.
The Beverly Hills artSHOW is in its 43rd year of welcoming art enthusiasts together from all over the Southern California region and beyond. In addition to great works of art, guests enjoy understated live entertainment, a wine garden, a beer garden, gourmet food trucks and family art projects. Convenient parking is located directly across from the show’s beautiful grounds.
Category awards and major show awards totaling $8,000 in cash prizes, including the Mayor’s Purchase Award, Best of Show, Most Original Work, and media category awards, will be announced in a Sunday afternoon ceremony, at the show’s center, in front of the Lily Pond.
