Arts for LA’s ACTIVATE Advocacy Leadership Initiative is approaching its mid-point as it empowers arts education advocates in our community. Participants just finished their third and fourth sessions on education policy, decision-making, understanding data, and mapping community resources.

The Herb Alpert Foundation announced it would double its end of year giving to Arts for LA this year if Arts for LA managed to complete an ambitious 2:1 match of money raised from our supporters.
Current Legislation
Arts for LA monitors arts and culture-related legislation at the school board, municipal, and county level throughout the year. We may also take positions or advice on State Assembly, State Senate, and Congressional legislation in partnership with state and national advocacy organizations. Arts for LA does not endorse candidates seeking election.

Danielle Brazell is proud to be a featured speaker at this year’s Town Hall event, where she’ll talk about ways the arts community can engage more deeply with members of communities across America.
