Arts for LA Advocacy Field Manager Abe Flores has accepted a position with Americans for the Arts, the nation's leading arts advocacy organization headquartered in Washington, DC.

Arts for LA's Advocacy Field Manager Abe Flores received a special recognition during this year's annual Americans for the Arts Convention: the national American Express Emerging Leader Award.

Four representatives of Arts for LA (AFLA) will participate in the annual Americans for the Arts (AFTA) Convention, to be held this month in Pittsburgh. Danielle Brazell is proud to be a featured speaker at this year’s Town Hall event, where she’ll talk about ways the arts community can engage more deeply with members of communities across America.

This week hundreds of arts advocates from across America gathered in Washington, DC, to promote the value of public and private investment in arts and culture.

Americans for the Arts bestowed recognition on several prominent artists and arts patrons in New York City last night, including Los Angeles County High School for the Arts alumus and arts education advocate Josh Groban.
