Arts for LA, as part of its commitment to increasing civic engagement outlined in the Arts & Culture Policy Framework for Los Angeles County (PDF), is proud to participate in National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 25, 2012—a month prior to the October 22 voter registration deadline in California.

The City of Los Angeles is holding public Regional Budget Hearings to provide opportunities for citizens to express their budget priorities for the upcoming fiscal year.  The City Council's Budget and Finance Committee will be in attendance, along with representatives from many city departments.  Arts advocates are encouraged to attend, and ask questions about the City's ongoing commitment to arts and culture.
