Nearly 200 arts advocates converged at The Music Center: Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles County to discuss the state of the arts and its role in creating a vibrant community.
2008 Arts Leadership Convergence
On October 1st, Arts for LA gathered 200 arts, civic and education leaders at the Skirball Cultural Center to review a policy platform that will focus collective advocacy efforts over the next two budget cycles. 
The platform, rooted in a value statement, contains eleven goals centered around five issue areas: Arts Education, Funding & Revenue Streams, Cultural Infrastructure, Cultural Tourism and Integration with Every Aspect of Civic Life.
