On Wednesday, Arts for LA sent a statement to Councilmember Paul Krekorian expressing support for Mayor Villaraigosa's proposed budget for the next fiscal year, which runs July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2014.  Krekorian serves as chairman on the Budget and Finance Committee of the Los Angeles City Council and will oversee the process of soliciting comment and providing feedback on the budget before the City Council vot

On March 18, Arts for LA joined the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and the Los Angeles County Arts Commission on a panel for the District 12 Nonprofit Arts Summit, organized by Councilmember Mitchell Englander.
