The Santa Monica High School Viking Marching Band, competing in the first field show tournament of the year, took part in the 2013 Baldwin Park High School Field Tournament on Saturday, October 19. 

The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's office posted results of elections for which Arts for LA conducted candidate surveys.

Arts for LA will share its annual school district candidate survey results with the California Alliance for Arts Education as part of that organization's statewide movement to get candidates to provide clarity on their arts education philosophies, priorities, and perspectives.

Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District’s new superintendent was introduced to the Santa Monica-Malibu Arts Education Advocacy Team and the District Advisory Council (DAC) Wednesday night at the school district's office.
