Position General Summary:  Position will work with Dyson & Womack towards temporary project specific marketing and design with the potential of extension. Design and Marketing Associate will support us in the successful marketing and public outreach of our client base.

 

Essential Job Functions and Duties:


  • Draft copy for press packages, including copy images.
  • Draft press releases for dissemination on Dyson & Womack’s website and social media handles.
  • Conduct research for project specific target marketing.
  • Draft reports for best practice project marketing implementation.
  • Prepare and present project proposals, presentations, and visual aids.
  • Generate image databases for specific project identity.
  • Manage multiple marketing efforts simultaneously.
  • Organize and manage temporary staff for project specific design and marketing teams.
  • Create social media content, written and visual, per project for Dyson & Womack Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts.
  • Post regularly on social media with project updates and open calls as specified by Dyson & Womack.
  • Creates innovative and project specific design suited to each distinct client’s marketing needs.
  • Provides feedback to team members on marketing and design efficacy.
  • Build InDesign templates for marketing and internal materials.
  • Creates project specific web design for varying clients.
  • Maintain marketing research using Excel.

 

Position Requirements:


  • 2 plus years’ experience as a design and marketing professional.
  • A portfolio of designs for review.
  • Must be social media savvy.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe suite and social media/email platforms such as Buffer and MailChimp or similar social media/email marketing tools.
  • Outstanding communication skills, telephone, written and interpersonal skills required to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
  • An affinity for organization and experience maintaining project files across various file types including text, image, video.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information.
  • Exceptional creative design skills with the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent time management.
  • An aptitude for outreach and the ability to guide a design concept through to implementation.
  • An innovative, creative, and resourceful approach to every project.  
  • Must be reliable, organized and punctual.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Creative, strong work ethic and a team player.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, tasks and deadlines.
  • Web design experience.
  • Basic videographer and editing skills.
  • Strong design fundamentals; solid typography, composition, and great attention to detail both online and in print.
  • Professional level photo retouching capabilities.
  • MAC proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
  • Basic videographer and editing skills.
  • Employee has legal authorization to work in the United States.
