The California Community Foundation (CCF) is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications to the 2016 CCF Fellowship for Visual Artists beginning Friday, June 3, 2016.
CCF is also pleased to announce that it will award twelve (12) outstanding Los Angeles County based visual artists a $25,000 grant award—a total of $300,000 in funding for artists. In addition to the increased award amount, this year CCF has made updates to the guidelines, eligibility and application. They include:

Increasing the award amount from $15,000 (emerging) and $20,000 (mid-career) to $25,000 for all recipients regardless of career level. Twelve Los Angeles County-based artists will be selected and notified in early December.

No application requirement to identify as an emerging or mid-career artist.

Creating a streamlined application with simplified initial stage. Selected applicants will move on to complete the full application out of which 12 Fellows will be awarded.

Requiring a minimum of five years of professional experience, exhibition history or other significant proof of professional accomplishments with demonstrated work in Los Angeles County.
- Requiring a minimum age of 25 years old.
The goal of the Fellowship remains the same: to fund outstanding Los Angeles County based visual artists from diverse backgrounds in order to support sustainable careers in the arts. For more than 100 years, CCF has recognized, encouraged and supported the Southern California arts community by funding and nurturing a full range of artistic expressions. The Fellowship for Visual Artists program is designed to support the careers and work of local visual artists to advance to the next level of professional development.
