Bid Network Online (BNO), a Los Angeles-based online auction company located near LAX, is seeking a part-time administrative assistant for its Art and Collectibles division, who will be required to participate in a variety of projects, including researching auction results, cataloging new property, and assisting the executive staff as needed. Position requires a background in art history, accuracy, strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, as well as some basic admin, cataloging, research, writing, and art handling experience.
Responsibilities:
• Track property listed for sale and seller contracts
• Assist in the cataloging and photography of property for all art auctions
• Research items for sale
• Assist executive staff with marketing and sales as needed
• Participate in auction-related activities where necessary
• Ensure all listings are complete and edited
Qualifications:
• Art History degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1-2 years of related work experience.
• The candidate must be extremely organized and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior auction house or art gallery experience a major plus
• Ability to work independently and able to take initiative
Commitment:
Schedule can be flexible for the right candidate. We expect 20-24 hours per week with the possibility of becoming full –time as the company grows.
Salary: Competitive hourly rate.
