Volunteer Internship Opportunity:
Administrative/ Event Intern for 2nd Annual Secret Art Show
BURBANK ARTS FOR ALL FOUNDATION (www.BurbankArtsForAll.org), a 501
(c)(3) non-profit education foundation, has been dedicated to raising funds on
behalf of visual and performing arts education programs in the Burbank Unified
School District since 2006. Through a combination of corporate sponsorships,
individual memberships, donations and fundraising events, Burbank Arts for All
Foundation has, to date, awarded more than $250,000 in grants to our schools
for a variety of arts education programs as part of a student’s core curriculum.
After the success of our first ever Secret Art Show in November 2013, the
Foundation seeks an Administrative/Event Intern to learn and assist in the execution of a successful arts
fundraising event, by providing support before, during and after the 2nd Annual Secret Art Show this Fall.
RESPONSIBILITES WILL INCLUDE:
Database upkeep, including data entry and organization
Organization and proper storage of Artwork, by ensuring proper labeling and filing
Transporting artwork to a local scanning site
Artist Packet Delivery and Art Pick-Ups (Burbank locations only)
Compiling Artist Packets (when needed)
Assisting the Administrative Coordinator in coordinating event volunteers
Event Day Duties/Post Event Duties
Other tasks as needed
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
The Foundation seeks a current student in the areas of Art or Arts Management, who is interested in gaining
hands-on experience in a small but dynamic setting. Applicant must have use of a personal vehicle and have a
Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel) and Adobe PDF
Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
Ability to multi-task, while remaining flexible and working as a team player
Able to maintain positive, professional interpersonal relations with Board Members, donors and community
Able to handle confidential material in a professional and responsible manner
Car, valid driver’s license and insurance required
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This is primarily an office position that requires only occasional bending, reaching, stooping, lifting and moving of
office materials weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires daily use of a personal computer. Some local
TIMEFRAME & HOURS:
The Internship will run from September 2014 to November 2014 and will 10 – 20 hours per week. Working times
will be based upon Intern’s availability and schedule.
Internship is unpaid; however, college credit may be available. Successful intern will also receive a personal letter
of recommendation from the Foundation’s Executive Director.
