With the 2015-16 school year now underway, we welcome you to register now for events on our fall calendar.
Arts for All offers professional development and networking opportunities tailored to address the needs of school district leaders and community arts partners. We also team up with other organizations to provide events that bring together arts and education experts from the field to engage in learning and sharing. Here are some highlights from the October line-up:
Site Visit in Montebello USD October 2, 2015 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.District arts coordinators are invited to participate in a guided site visit at Montebello Unified School District. Facilitated by Arts for All staff, participants will be led through observations of a high quality arts partnership taking place across the school district, and will learn about the steps that district administrators and arts leads have taken to support each other in building a strong alliance.
The State of Teaching Artistry California Takes On Questions of Teaching Artist Training and Certification October 3, 2015 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.Join the Teaching Artist Support Collaborative (TASC) and teaching artists from across the region to discuss and challenge ideas about training for teaching artists and questions of certification.
Strategic Planning & Leadership Training October 14-15, 2015 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.This workshop is designed for school district teams enrolled in strategic planning with Arts for All for 2015-16. Participants will learn group facilitation methods to help effectively lead their team through the district planning and implementation process. Teams will also be introduced to best practices from other Arts for Alldistricts and will leave with ideas for how to use district data to assess the status of arts education in their district.
