The City of West Hollywood 2016 Art Grant Program applications are now posted on line. The following applications have a deadline of Thursday, September 10 at 3 pm for electronic filing. A grant application workshop will be held on Thursday, August 6 at 6 pm in the Community Meeting Room at the West Hollywood Library, 625 N. San Vicente, for organizations interested in learning more about the different grant programs and the application process. If you are interested in attending the grant workshop, please respond to Prentis Bonds at [email protected] to let him know you will be attending.PLEASE NOTE:
- Grant projects must take place in the City of West Hollywood or the immediate West Hollywood adjacent area. Additional guidelines are contained in the eligibility requirements document for each grant program.
- Our grant program is small and we only award a limited number of grants each year. To save your and our organizations’ resources, please review the program information and guidelines carefully and only apply if you are eligible and have a truly competitive project that fits within our guidelines.
- If you are a current recipient of a City Arts Project Grant or Cultural Resource Development Grant, you will NOT need to reapply this year as you have multiple year funding.
- Projects that reflect the diversity and unique creative community of WeHo have the best chance of being selected.
- We strongly encourage you to attend the workshop on August 6, especially if you have never submitted a grant to WeHo before. If you are unable to attend the workshop and have questions, we request that you wait until AFTER the workshop on August 6 to contact us with individual questions.
- We use a very simple online application for submissions. If you are considering applying for a grant, please fill out PART I – ORGANIZATIONAL INFORMATION and click on the Save/Submit button at your earliest convenience. This will assist us in better managing the process by understanding what organizations are considering applying. You may then return to the electronic application at any time prior to the deadline to continue working on your submission.
- Finally, one of the criteria in West Hollywood’s Arts Grant Program application review is “Managerial and Fiscal Competence.” We consider the ability to follow the guidelines to be an indication of Managerial Competence.
