Job Opening: Development Associate at 18th Street Arts Center

18th Street Arts Center is Southern California’s largest Artist Residency Center. Our artist residencies support artists from around the world to continually develop and master their practices. The Center is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Development Associate. We seek an individual knowledgeable about the rich diversity of the Los Angeles arts community and one who thrives on meeting new people, ideas and cultures. 18th Street Arts Center promotes contemporary art through a Residency Program for individual artists nationally and internationally, and a through a Public Exhibition and Events Program.

The Development Associate will support the Executive Director and Board of Directors in the stewardship of 18th Street’s individual donor relationships. The ideal candidate is a compelling oral and written communicator, experienced calendaring and executing multiple projects at the same time and is fluent with donor database management. Experience planning and execution of small donor cultivation events, email/social media campaigns and producing a newsletter is advantageous.

Eligible candidates have a Bachelors degree with minimum 2 years related fundraising experience in the arts. Fluency in MS Word, Excel, Constant Contact and Donor Perfect (or other email and donor database) is required. Knowledge of social media best practices is essential.
