Position Overview:

Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (“The Wallis”) seeks a senior development professional for the position of Director of Development. This position will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of organizational fundraising strategies, both internal and external, to generate $5+ million in contributed revenue annually. The Director of Development is a self-directed, results-oriented front line fundraiser that works closely with the Managing Director and Board of Directors to create, oversee and execute a comprehensive and effective fundraising plan for The Wallis. The position reports to the Managing Director and forms a vital part of the executive management team. Candidates should have: a bachelor’s degree; 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in generating successful fundraising campaigns, preferably in the Southern California region; extensive experience in partnering with an executive team and Board of Directors; and outstanding communication skills. A passion for fundraising, arts and culture is a requirement. Salary is competitive with benefits including health, dental and 401(k). Start date is immediate.
