P.S. ARTS seeks experienced Choir, Theater, Dance, and Visual Arts Teaching Artists

Are you an experienced Teaching Artist who’s looking to make a difference in the lives of others while furthering your career as a Teaching Artist?

This is a Teaching Artist position that will serve our programs in the Central California area in a low-income region where communities lack access to many resources. P.S. ARTS is looking for a dedicated, talented Teaching Artist who enjoys working with underserved communities and is committed to improving communities through arts education. 

This is a unique opportunity to expand your skills as an arts educator while working in a high need region for a portion of the year.

Teaching Artist Responsibilities:

·       Develop and teach a sequential, standards-based curriculum and teach across multiple grade levels

·       Address the learning needs of diverse student populations

·       Submit documentation of teaching practice, including curriculum, lesson plans and assessments

·       Apply knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development into teaching practice

·       Teaching Artists regularly move art supplies weighing up to 30lbs


·       Minimum of 2 years teaching experience. Classroom setting preferred.

·       B.A. desired

·       Bilingual in Spanish/English desired

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
