Position: Gallery Assistant Internship Part-time, 1-2 days a week

Company Description:  Art gallery specializing in important Early California Impressionism, Early Modernism, and American Scene Painting

Hours of Operation: Tuesday through Friday: 10am to 6pm Saturday:  11am to 6pm

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree (completed or in progress)
Knowledge of Art, Art History or Business with some Art/Art History background
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Familiarity with the office environment and its procedures, equipment, and etiquette
Good organizational skills
Ability to exercise tact, and deal with confidential matters
Excellent client service skills
Experience with database and inventory management a plus

Job Description: General administrative duties: phones, filing, correspondence
Maintain book and photo inventory
Assist with maintaining client database and gallery inventory
Assist with exhibition preparation, installation, and shipment of artworks
Assist with gallery related research on artists and artworks

Start Date: Immediately
