ACE Gallery is looking for a full time, in-house Photographer/Social Media Content Manager who will work within a professional team to create and maintain the gallery’s photo documentation of all artworks, installations and events for the database and website as well as manage daily content and update weekly content calendar for the gallery’s website and all social channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Vine.


Photography Duties:

  • Photographing artworks and documenting the installations of artwork
  • Documenting gallery events and exhibition openings
  • Scanning, retouching and color correcting
  • Fulfilling image requests, printing and troubleshooting
  • Assisting in the design of posters and gallery promotion materials (print and web-based)
  • Constantly maintaining the gallery website with images of artwork, exhibitions and press releases
  • Producing inventory folders on the new artworks
  • Assisting in management and maintenance of digital and film image filing systems and archive

Social Media Content Management Duties:

  • Managing daily content and updating weekly content calendar for all social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Vine
  • Developing and maintaining effective social media tactics and best practices
  • Collaborate and gather intelligence from Analytics for optimizing social media, engagement and lead performance and make recommendations on how to improve performance
  • Researching and drafting content for our social channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest
  • Identifying, documenting and engaging in internet communities and blogs to generate gallery exposure and interaction
  • Analyzing content performance and optimize as necessary to meet and exceed the gallery’s goals
  • Covering live events, which may include on-site live blogging, photography, interviews, Tweeting, and updating
  • Understanding client and user needs and translating them into a social media platform environment
  • Developing an effective social media strategy that informs and also monitors


  • BA in Photography (or equivalent experience) or 3-5 years related work experience
  • 1-2 years demonstrated professional experience in the social media field
  • Proven track record building brands via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare, Instagram, etc.
  • Must own all equipment, including 4x5 format film camera, digital format 20 megapixels minimum camera, tripod and strobe lights
  • Proficiency with Mac computers and Photoshop
  • Proficiency with website uploads
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Experience using various social, SEM and web analytics reporting tools
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Very organized and meticulous with a critical eye and attention to detail
  • Strong management skills
  • An enjoyable disposition with fellow coworkers and gallery artists
  • Must live within a 10-mile radius of ACE GALLERY Los Angeles
