Help us close the achievement gap!

826LA is looking for interns who are passionate about education and about our mission of providing free creative writing and tutoring programs to under-resourced students, schools, and communities.
Working in a high-energy work environment, interns learn about using creativity to engage youth from underserved communities, volunteer management, communications, and the ins and outs of an established education non-profit.

The 826LA internship is designed to expose interns to the wide range of work at a non-profit while allowing for a degree of specialization. Interns support the day-to-day administrative functions of our organization as well as medium- and long-term capacity-building projects. We are looking for enthusiastic, professional, and dedicated individuals who are self-motivated team players with a strong sense of social justice. Spanish speakers preferred. No experience with students required.
We are seeking interns for placement in our Mar Vista, Echo Park, and Manual Arts High School sites.
