Gemini G.E.L. Gallery and Exhibitions Internship

Founded in 1966, Gemini G.E.L. is an artists‘ workshop and publisher of limited edition prints and sculptures.  Based in West Hollywood, we currently seek a highly motivated intern to assist with gallery administration.

 Candidates must be in pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree with the ability to receive academic credit. You should possess an interest in the arts with the ability to commit 8-10 hours weekly.

 Internship Duties and Responsibilities

§  Assistance in coordinating materials for Art Basel Miami Beach 2014

o   Every year Gemini G.E.L. exhibits with the Art Basel Miami Beach fair in December. Preparation for the fair continues throughout the fall and our intern will be responsible for uploading our online catalog, printing promotional images and organizing logistical information.


§  Maintenance of Image Archive

o   Our intern will be responsible for digitally resizing hi-res photography of upcoming editions and meticulously maintaining the archive in different media formats.


§  Assistance in maintaining and updating Gemini G.E.L. website

o   Our intern will be taught basic administrative dexterity with our website’s online platform, and will periodically assist in updating exhibition, artist, and edition information.


§  Distribution of Documentation Sheets

o   Documentation Sheets (also known as certificates of Authenticity) are produced for every edition published by Gemini G.E.L. After purchase all clients will be given a copy of the documentation. Our intern will take responsibility to periodically collect and disseminate necessary documentation sheets.


§  Assistance with research into upcoming auctions and exhibitions

o   Our intern will pursue research into the current worldwide exhibitions on view by Gemini Artists and help us to maintain records of Gemini editions coming up at auction.


§  Ongoing organization of gallery library and storage areas


§  Regular updates to our client database
